What Coconote costs in 2026

Coconote's upgrade page shows one price: $59 a year for unlimited AI notes and study materials. It opens with a 3-day free trial. On the web you add a card to start, and the yearly charge lands on day 3 unless you cancel first.

The help centre also mentions monthly and weekly passes, but the official pages do not print their prices. There is a free tier to get started, and the site does not state its limits. Each subscription covers one person. There is no team plan.

Noter AI costs $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year. On the yearly plan that is $10.99 more than Coconote. Everything is included in the one plan: no per-seat fees, no AI credits and no cap on summaries. There is a free plan to try the app, and every subscription starts with a free trial.

What Coconote actually is

Coconote calls itself an AI note taker for students and says it is loved by 1 million+ students. You record a lecture or upload audio, and it produces notes, a transcript, flashcards, quizzes and a podcast version of the material. Its homepage also says it can record meetings. Quizlet Inc. is the developer named on both the App Store and Google Play.

It runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android and the web. A desktop app for Mac and Windows captures the sound playing on your computer, and Coconote names Zoom calls as one use for it. Nothing joins a call on its own, so the desktop app has to be open on the computer that is on the call.

Coconote says it can capture audio or translate in 100+ languages. On the App Store it has 4.8 stars from 16,942 ratings and needs iOS 18 or later. On Google Play it has 4.7 stars and more than 500,000 downloads.

Why people look for a Coconote alternative

A study tool and a meeting tool answer different questions. After a lecture you want to remember facts for an exam, so flashcards and quizzes make sense. After a meeting you want to know who agreed to what and what is due on Friday. These are the gaps people hit when they move Coconote from the lecture hall to the office:

• No meeting bot. Coconote cannot join a Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Webex call from a link. For calls you run its desktop app, and the site names only Zoom.
• No calendar connection listed. Coconote's site does not mention Google or Outlook calendar sync, so each meeting depends on you remembering to press record.
• Meeting outputs are missing from the list. Coconote's site does not list speaker labels, action items, or Word and PDF export. What it does list is notes, transcripts, flashcards, quizzes and podcasts.
• The trial bills on day 3. The free trial lasts 3 days and needs a card on the web. Forget to cancel and the $59 yearly charge arrives on day 3. The support page adds that a subscription cannot be paused.
• Cut-short audio cannot be recovered. Coconote's support page says that if a recording is lost or cut short, "there is nothing we can do", and suggests recording in Apple's Voice Memos app and uploading the file instead.
• Big files fail. The same support page lists an upload error: "Your audio file is too large. Try downsizing."
